Reviewer Guidelines

REVIEWER GUIDELINES

Reviewers should accept assignments only when the manuscript falls within their expertise and they can complete the review within the stated period. Any actual or potential conflict of interest must be disclosed to the editor before reviewing.

Confidentiality: Manuscripts, data, and review correspondence are confidential and may not be shared or used for personal advantage. Reviewers must not contact authors directly.

Assessment: Reviews should evaluate the relevance of the manuscript to JESOCIN's scope, originality, clarity of the research question, appropriateness and transparency of the method or conceptual procedure, reliability of the evidence, coherence of analysis, accuracy of citations, quality of tables and figures, and support for the conclusions.

Integrity concerns: Reviewers should alert the editor to suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated or manipulated data, undisclosed conflicts, inappropriate authorship, or substantial overlap with other work. Similarity percentages should be interpreted in context and not used as the sole basis for a decision.

Recommendation: Reviewers should provide constructive, evidence-based comments and select an appropriate recommendation: accept, revisions required, resubmit for review, or decline. The final publication decision belongs to the editor.
